Sustainability and Values
Here are some measures we’ve taken to make Green Lens more sustainable:
Energy-Conscious Buildings
We used 70% reclaimed material for studio’s conversion.
Our studios are furnished with repurposed, upcycled, or second-hand furniture and props, sourced to reduce waste and extend material life
We use insulation and draft-proofing in all our buildings
We use energy & water saving devices
Green Power
For the last 15 years we’ve been on a 100% green energy plan with Ecotricity, and we’re actively seeking green hosting providers for our website and digital infrastructure
Low-Impact Transport
We promote cycling and electric delivery options whenever possible - both for equipment transport and crew travel. For city shoots, we recommend cargo bikes or electric cabs and can help with referrals
Recycling & Waste Minimisation
We recycle as much as possible, and are developing a recycling/reuse plan for every shoot, encouraging set and materials donation after projects wrap
We use organic or fairtrade produce wherever possible
Eco-Conscious Catering
We offer a list of recommended eco-conscious caterers to ensure that organic and fairtrade produce is served. We always encourage plant-based and locally sourced food options on set..
Creative Sustainability Advocacy
We regularly host workshops, talks, and exhibitions that champion sustainable artistic practices and invite collaboration across disciplines
Offsetting Through Nature
To offset our carbon footprint we annually participate in a tree planting initiative
For very booking made in 2025, we will plant a tree - rooting each creative project in ecological restoration
Transparency & Roadmap
We’re currently working on:
Tracking carbon emissions per booking
Exploring microplastic-reducing laundry options and solar panels
Migrating digital hosting to renewables.
