Helen’s own style ofillustration is inspired by the native Aboriginal people of her homeland, Australia and the topic is the environment. New works include large-scale embroidery and a super-8 film. ApprenticeRCA was in the house last week: 2 groups of 15 students from Royal College of Arts was working on two contrasting urban sites in North London, having Green Lens as their base. Apprentice RCA aims to provide a hard-edged but hands-on environment for us to engage with important contemporary social / political / environmental issues, by opening up creative conversations with local communities.
